My mother's cousin, Edward S. Horyt was KIA on August 17, 1944 and was awarded a posthumous DSC. He was a member of Company E, 7th Infantry Regiment.
I am writing on the chance that someone may know of the circumstances of his actions that led to award of his DSC. Thank you for any information.

I am writing this short note on behalf a very good friend and church member who served in combat operations during the Korean War.
SSgt Raymond Dugan,USA. 1st Cavalry, 7th Infantry. Mr. Dugan fought in three battles while stationed in Korea.
If anyone who served with and perhaps remember this God fearing young man ( he was around 21 when called up) from West Tennessee, please respond and I'll pass on the message. Mr. Raymond is currently in an assisted living facility living out his final days in Memphis. Although, physically weak from a recent illness,he welcomes visitors and would like to hear from fellow Korean War veterans.
