Alexander “Baboiul” York, 57, was born in Romania on 10/21/51. He moved to the US in 1981 where he has lived in many different places before settling in near Ft. Stewart. In 2005, he retired from a long career in the United States Army, which included service in the Gulf War, Kosovo and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

I was in Aco 2dHTB 33rd Armor at Fiori barracks. M103 heavy tanks. We provided your Armor support in the field.Those were the days...Finally went back in 2007...Hope all of you are well...

He served as a medic in Bosnia(1996-97) and also the Gulf War-Desert Storm/Desert Shield (1990-91). Tom was injured while fighting in Mogadishu. Our community is holding a Benefit for him (he has become very ill in the last few years) and we would like to contact some of the other soldiers he served with. If I could get any information on how to contact them it would be greatly appreciated. |
